Using Texas Education Freedom Accounts
How TEFA works with Cornerstone Career & Technology Academy.
TEFA Participation in Progress
TEFA participation is being pursued. Availability of TEFA-funded courses is subject to program approval. Each individual course requires its own approval before displaying a TEFA-approved status.
How TEFA enrollment works
Find an approved course
Look for courses displaying the "TEFA Approved" badge. A course is only TEFA-approved when both the Academy is an approved vendor AND the specific course is individually approved.
Use TEFA Funds
On an approved course, the "Use TEFA Funds" button opens an informational TEFA enrollment page. TEFA-funded purchases must follow the payment process required by the Texas Education Freedom Accounts program — not the Academy's private checkout.
Complete the marketplace purchase
Use the provided TEFA marketplace link to complete the purchase through the TEFA program's required process.
Academy verifies & activates
After your TEFA marketplace transaction is verified by Academy administration, your enrollment is activated and course access is granted.
TEFA-funded purchases are processed separately from private-pay checkout. The Academy does not process TEFA program funds through its standard payment system unless explicitly authorized by the TEFA program.
Important note
Eligibility for TEFA does not equal approval. A course marked "TEFA Eligible" is not TEFA-approved until the Academy administration sets its approval status. We never display a "TEFA Approved" badge unless a course is genuinely approved.
